I see that you were a reading specialist-were you also trained in Reading Recovery? I am using some of the Handprints books in a project and would like to put a short sentence about each author’s qualifications next to the company name. At one time I was told (at the EPS booth) that you were a RR teacher, just want to confirm the information.

I just saw your comment! Sorry for the delay. Yes, I was trained in RR, and taught RR for 10 years. Loved those years, and so appreciate how much I learned about teaching reading from that training.
If I can tell you anything else, I would be glad to. I tried to apply everything I learned as I wrote the Handprints books. You probably know that most of them are on the Reading Recovery Book List.
